Possibly one of the costliest items to replace in your house or flat when you decide to get rid of your old boiler and have a new one fitted, however making this move can save you up to £500 in energy costs per year!

When searching for someone to install your new boiler it is important to realize that only CORGI registered plumbers are legally able to do this! 

While ''the best friend of your friends friend'' or the ''lad in the pub who said he could swap it'' will almost definitely be considerably cheaper it is worth bearing in mind that they are breaking the law by doing this and that you, the house-owner or landlord will be held responsible for this once you come to sell your property, as you may be aware, from the 6th April 2008 you have to provide a HIP's pack when selling, and this must contain all work done on the property during your ownership with appropriate certificates. 

We have heard from customers who have ''taken the cheap way out'' above and when they come to sell, they have been forced to have a CORGI registered plumber come out, rip the boiler out and do all the work again and issue the home owner with the CORGI certificate... this work is of course not free!!
